SUPPORTING OUR BOYS
The School’s Track and Field community is a committed and professional sporting group, with boys being involved in year-round training and competition. Whether it is as a member of our CAS Squad, or our School’s own registered ‘Athletics Club’, there is a range of opportunities for each boy to develop his athletic potential in his chosen discipline. Many of our coaches have coached athletes to World Championships, with the level of expertise being the envy of other schools in our Association. Most importantly, it is the determination each athlete displays when doing his best in the ‘green and white’ that makes membership of the Trinity Track and Field community so inspiring and encouraging.
TRACK AND FIELD HANDBOOK
The TGS Track and Field Handbook contains a range of information regarding important dates, training and competition details, records, contact numbers and many other areas which cover virtually all the information you need for the upcoming season. UNIFORM
It is very important that all Trinity athletes wear their uniform with pride.
Singlets
All boys selected in the final CAS team will be issued with a TGS Track and Field singlet during the Tuesday Assembly prior to CAS. Boys are then able to wear this singlet at CAS and future Meets. Boys who have not previously been selected in the team need to purchase a ‘harlequin style’ Track and Field squad singlet from the School Shop. Other than the School Championships at Narrabeen where boys wear their House T-shirt, boys must compete in one of the two styles of Track and Field singlets at all Meets (no training shirts, PE shirts, House T-shirts, etc.)
Shorts
Boys must compete at all times in the green Trinity Track and Field shorts. PE shorts, rugby shorts, etc. are not permitted. See the CAS rules regarding tights.
Training Shirts
Track and Field training shirts are available from the School Shop. The material is light weight and well suited to training in winter and summer. The shirt, however, cannot be worn during competition.
Tracksuits
Only the Trinity School tracksuit may be worn by athletes.
Note
Rugby jerseys are not to be worn at any stage during the Track and Field season. Jewellery is also not to be worn.
SCHOOL BUS TO SATURDAY INVITATIONAL MEETS
The School provides a voluntary bus to and from all Invitational Meets. The bus departs the Victoria St Gates at 8:00am. In the afternoon, it leaves the venue at 2:45pm and returns to the Victoria St Gates at 3:15pm.
COACHING STAFF
We have some of the best Track and Field coaches in the country. Many have coached athletes at World Championships and Commonwealth Games level with their expertise being the envy of other schools in our Association

RELAY TEAMS
Updated relay teams will be posted each week on the Track and Field noticeboard by Thursday recess. All sprint athletes must check the noticeboard after this time to ensure they are prepared for relay training Thursday afternoons.
