The Trinity Grammar School Preparatory School Library is central to the School’s learning environment as it supports the inquiry learning approach and provides a strong focus on literature. The Library supports the informational, recreational and curriculum needs of its students and staff, providing an extensive collection of print materials in addition to access to electronic resources.
The Preparatory School has an excellent collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference material. The collection also includes magazines, videos and audio cassettes. Parents are welcome and Library staff are happy to assist parents with choosing suitable material for their son.
Students and parents are welcome to visit the Library for borrowing and quiet reading at the following times:
Monday to Friday | 8:10am - 8:30am
Monday to Thursday | 1:15pm - 1:40pm & 3:15pm - 3:45pm
The Library is located on the ground floor of the Llandilo building.
Prep-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes visit the Library each week for a combined borrowing and lesson period with the Teacher Librarian. Infants and Primary classes borrow weekly with their class teachers, whilst lessons with the Teacher Librarian are timetabled flexibly according to the needs of their Units of Inquiry. Library lessons focus on the development of information literacy skills and the fostering of a love of literature.
